– I started taking this supplement after asking my doctor about it. He didn’t recommend it to me initially, but said it wouldn’t do any harm. Well, I just got my blood work results and my liver function (I think SGOT) decreased 10 points so that it now is within normal range. He also said he only needs to see me once a year instead of every 6 months. I am very happy with this product and will continue to take in order to maintain my liver health.

– I have been taking Milk Thistle for many years. And I remain loyal to this brand; it seems to work, my liver enzymes are always within limits. When they have the right to be high…I have not been kind to my liver.

– I’m a drinker. I love making classic cocktails, especially tiki cocktails. I make all my own syrups, I use the best ingredients, but I also like a good ol’ Bacardi gold and coke. I try to limit my drinking to the weekends, but sometimes I make dinner, and how does one make dinner without drinking wine, or margaritas (depending on what’s for dinner)? So needless to say when I went to the doctor she was not happy with my bloodwork.
My liver enzymes were elevated so she sent me in for an ultrasound. The ultrasound didn’t show anything (phew), but still, elevated liver enzymes are no good. A couple nights later I was home and saw some milk thistle drops in the fridge. I asked my kids about it and they said the vet prescribed it to one of our ducks bc she was having liver issues. I thought well if it works for ducks, it probably will work for me. I did research of course, and found these. I’ve been taking them for a couple months, almost nightly, and when I went for blood work recently, my liver enzymes were perfect! Which is amazing bc I’ve been drinking more than ever, almost every day for a month and a half. I’ve been out of work with sciatic nerve pain, and have daily pity parties, and what’s better at a party than some g and t’s?
I’m not saying anyone should be drinking this much, it’s bad for you, while my liver enzymes were normal, everything else was up, but this milk thistle seemed to help my liver. And how much easier could it be? These are easy to swallow, they’re no bigger than most of the supplements I take, they have no gross taste or smell.
I would never tell anyone to take a supplement without doing their own research, but these seem to be keeping my liver healthy, I would recommend and I will keep taking these. Now if I could find a supplement to lower my cholesterol, a1c, belly fat, I need to do more research.
